App Engine is a managed platform for building server-side rendered websites and web or mobile back ends. Applications run as instances in either a standard or a flexible environment, with Google handling the underlying infrastructure. It connects to Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging and Error Reporting, and includes app versioning and a firewall for access rules.
