Independence and payments
Payment affects delivery speed, never your score. This page spells out exactly where money enters BenchRank and what it can and cannot change, so you can read any ranking here knowing what sits behind it.
Scores are measured, not negotiated
Every product gets one score out of 100, computed by the same pipeline from the same dimensions with the same weights. The pipeline reads the product’s own site, documentation, pricing and changelog and records what is there. How we rank lists every dimension. No one at BenchRank, and no vendor, can type a number in or move a product up a list.
Rankings recompute whenever a score changes, and every profile shows when it was last refreshed. If a measurement is wrong, the fix is to re-measure, never to edit the result. Anyone can report a wrong score.
Nothing on a ranked list is for sale
There are no sponsored rows, featured slots, promoted badges or paid boosts on any category, subcategory, leaderboard or alternatives page. The order you see is the score order.
The one curated surface is the picture belt on the home page. A handful of newly listed tools with screenshots are pinned into it so new entrants can be seen at all. Pinned tools still sit wherever their score puts them and climb only as that score improves. Pinning is an editorial choice by BenchRank and is not something a vendor can buy.
Links out to products are plain links. BenchRank does not run affiliate programmes and earns nothing when you click through to a vendor.
What the $49.00 USD submission fee buys
Vendors can submit a product for a one-off $49.00 USD. The fee covers a human check that the submission is a real, public SaaS product, and a place in the scoring queue. It buys delivery, not a result: a paid submission is measured by exactly the same pipeline as every product we listed ourselves.
Payment is handled by Stripe. BenchRank never sees card details and stores only the submission record and its payment status.
Refunds
If a submission is declined at review, the fee is refunded in full. Your payment is refunded to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. A low score is not grounds for a refund: the fee pays for the measurement, and the measurement was made.
Claiming a listing
Claiming is free. Open the product’s profile under its category and follow the claim link. We verify ownership by matching your sign-in email domain to the product’s website; if that is not possible, write to hello@benchrank.ai and we will verify you by hand.
A claimed listing lets you correct facts and point us at pages we missed. It does not change the score, which is re-measured like any other.
How BenchRank is funded
BenchRank is independently owned and funded by submission fees and by readers who buy access to the in-depth profile data and premium articles. No vendor, investor or advertiser has a say in what is measured or how it is weighted. If that ever changes, it will be written here first.
