Overview

Sequin captures Postgres changes from the write-ahead log and streams them to sinks including Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub, Redis Streams, NATS, Elasticsearch and webhooks. It runs as a Docker container next to your database and uses Postgres itself to store sink state. Changes can be filtered, transformed, enriched by joining back to Postgres, and routed before delivery.

Best for
Teams streaming Postgres changes to queues, caches or search indexes without running Debezium

Trade-offs

  • You run and operate the container alongside your own Postgres
  • Requires Postgres 12 or newer
  • Listed sinks are operational only; no warehouse destinations shown
  • No pricing published on the captured page
