Overview

Openinary is an open-source, self-hostable alternative to Cloudinary. It keeps media in S3-compatible storage such as AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Google Cloud Storage or MinIO, takes uploads through a REST API, and applies image and video transformations from URL parameters using Cloudinary-compatible syntax. It runs under Docker on your own infrastructure, or as a hosted Cloud service.

Best for: Teams wanting Cloudinary-style image and video transforms on their own S3-compatible storage.
Pricing: Self-hosting is free under AGPL 3.0; the Cloud public alpha has a free tier (1 GB storage, 500 transformations, 15 minutes of video and 25,000 CDN requests a month) with a pay-as-you-go plan beyond it, and an Enterprise tier priced on request.
