Overview

Featurevisor manages feature flags, A/B experiments and remote configuration as YAML files in a Git repository. Changes are sent as pull requests; on merge, your CI/CD pipeline builds static JSON datafiles and uploads them to your CDN. Applications fetch those datafiles and evaluate features in memory through Featurevisor SDKs, with segmentation, gradual rollouts and consistent bucketing.

Best for
Development teams that want feature flags and A/B tests defined in Git and served from their own CDN.
Pricing
No prices are shown; the site presents Featurevisor as free, MIT-licensed open source that you self-host, with no published paid plans.
Runs on
Self-hostedCLI

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • MIT licensed and self-hosted, with no vendor contract or lock-in
  • Flag changes go through pull requests, with Git as the audit log
  • SDKs for JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, Swift and Java
  • Static JSON datafiles on your CDN, so evaluation happens in memory

Trade-offs

  • You must supply and operate your own CI/CD pipeline and CDN
  • No hosted service is offered; you run every part of it yourself
  • Changes need a merge and a CI build, not an instant switch in a UI
  • Configuration is written as YAML files rather than edited in a dashboard
