Overview
Coolify is an open-source, self-hostable platform for deploying websites, APIs, databases and 280+ one-click services to servers you own. It connects to any server over SSH and to Git providers including GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Gitea, handling push-to-deploy, pull request deployments, Let's Encrypt certificates, S3 backups, monitoring and notifications.
- Best for
- Developers who want to deploy apps, databases and services onto servers they control, not a PaaS
- Pricing
- Self-hosting is free forever; Coolify Cloud starts at $5/month covering two servers, plus $3/month per additional server, with annual billing advertised as saving 20%.
- Runs on
- WebSelf-hosted
Strengths and trade-offs
Strengths
- Open source and free forever when self-hosted on your own servers
- Deploys to any server reachable by SSH, including a Raspberry Pi
- 280+ one-click services; anything Docker-compatible can be deployed
- Automatic Let's Encrypt SSL and automated S3 database backups
Trade-offs
- The Cloud plan still requires you to bring and pay for your own servers
- Self-hosted setup, updates, backups and email alerts are your responsibility
- Cloud dashboard runs on app.coolify.io; custom domain is self-hosted only
- Each additional team on Cloud requires its own subscription
