Overview

Appwrite is an open-source platform that bundles authentication, databases, storage, serverless functions, realtime subscriptions and messaging behind one API, plus Sites for deploying static, SSR and CSR frontends. Requests and assets are served through its own CDN with DDoS mitigation and encryption in transit and at rest. It runs as Appwrite Cloud or self-hosted, with migration between the two.

Best for
Developer teams wanting an open-source backend plus frontend hosting under one subscription.
Pricing
