Overview

Lost Pixel is a visual regression testing service with an open-source core, positioned as an alternative to Percy and Chromatic. It captures screenshots from Storybook stories, application pages, and output piped from Cypress or Playwright runs, compares them, and reports results as GitHub check runs via a GitHub action. Diffs are approved, rejected or commented on in its UI.

Best for
Frontend teams on GitHub wanting visual regression tests for Storybook, Next.js and Playwright UIs
Pricing
Free tier with 7,000 screenshots a month, then $100/month for 40,000, $250/month for 100,000 and $670/month for 300,000, with overage charged at $0.006 to $0.004 per screenshot.
