Overview
Hexclave is an open-source platform of modular building blocks for user-facing infrastructure: authentication and RBAC, payments and billing, transactional emails, analytics and session replays, webhooks and API keys. It runs as managed cloud or entirely self-hosted on your own infrastructure, and imports existing accounts from Clerk, Auth0, Firebase Auth and Supabase Auth.
- Best for
- Startups wanting auth, payments, emails and analytics as one open-source, self-hostable platform.
- Pricing
- Free tier, then $49/month (Team) or $299/month (Growth), with self-hosting free and extra dashboard admins at $29/month each.
- Runs on
- WebSelf-hostedCLI
Strengths and trade-offs
Strengths
- Self-hostable free; MIT client SDKs, AGPLv3 server
- Free tier covers 10,000 auth users and 1,000 emails/month
- Imports from Clerk, Auth0, Firebase Auth and Supabase Auth
- Growth tier removes the auth user cap entirely
Trade-offs
- Email cap stays at 25,000/month on both Team and Growth
- Session replays capped at 2,500/month on every tier, including $299 Growth
- Only 4 dashboard admins included; each extra is $29/month
- Server is AGPLv3, so closed-source use needs a commercial licence
