Overview

Headstart is a recruiting platform whose FairScreen product filters out ineligible applicants and ranks the rest on fit for each role. FairScreen runs alongside an existing ATS; Headstart also sells its own ATS covering apply-to-hire. Plans are tiered by employee headcount, starting at 1,000 employees.

Best for
Enterprise recruiting teams at 1,000+ employee firms handling high applicant volumes
Pricing
FairScreen starts at $30,000/year for 1,000–5,000 employees, rising to $60,000 and $90,000/year for larger headcounts, with pilot programmes from $15,000; the Headstart ATS is quote-only.

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Filters and ranks applicants automatically to cut screening time
  • Runs alongside an existing ATS, or replaces it with Headstart's own
  • Unlimited roles and applications included in every plan
  • Onboarding, a named CSM and technical support in every plan

Trade-offs

  • Entry plan is $30,000/year; nothing offered below 1,000 employees
  • Priced per business unit or country, so multi-market rollouts multiply
  • No free trial — evaluation is a paid pilot from $15,000
  • No self-serve sign-up; pricing pages route to a demo request
