Overview

CocoIndex is an open-source Python framework for keeping data indexed for AI agents. You write the transform in Python and declare the target state, and the engine works out the minimum work to sync targets such as vector, graph, relational and warehouse stores. When source data or code changes, only affected rows re-run; CocoInsight shows lineage, caching and metrics.

Best for
Engineering teams keeping codebases, docs and notes continuously indexed as context for AI agents.
Pricing
No prices are shown on the captured page; the project is described as open source, with a separate Enterprise page that was not captured.

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Only the changed delta is reprocessed, not the whole index
  • You write Python transforms; the engine derives the graph
  • End-to-end lineage and metrics through the CocoInsight plane
  • Open source with working starter flows to clone and adapt

Trade-offs

  • No pricing published; Enterprise terms need a sales conversation
  • Documentation is labelled v0, so the API may still shift
  • Python-only API; no other language bindings are described
  • Freshness and scale claims come with no published benchmarks
